Hello Hornet residents and families...
Our sincere thanks to all that are continuing to support the Kirtland Hornet Boosters Club. We hope to bring back the comradery you have known throughout the years that is revered in Kirtland, Ohio. The Boosters is a 501 (3c) volunteer organization made up of parents, alumni, administration, and coaches who strive to work together for the betterment of the community, school and sports programs. We have provided support to Kirtland sports teams by funding facility improvements, paying for OSHAA coaching fees, purchasing needed equipment and providing new uniforms. If we are to continue to give our students and athletes the very best tools with which to succeed and compete, we need your support and help in running our Booster Club!
Pay to Participate fees
Recent changes in Kirtland Local Schools sports include a Pay to Participate fee (PTP) for all Middle School and High School sports participants. The school district has implemented this fee to help offset the costs of coaching salaries, transportation, and insurance. With these changes, the Booster Clubs goal is to continue support and assist in keeping these fees to a minimum.
What we do:
The Boosters provide support for the Kirtland Local School District athletics and academics. Through membership and fundraising, the Boosters are able to contribute and subsidize the Middle School and High School athletic budgets as well as provide support to several school and community activities including :
Even without Bingo proceeds the Booster funding for 2021-2022 school year included:
Donation of pitching machines for softball/baseball
OSHAA coaching & fees for swim team
Donation to help fund swim team practice venue
Yard signs for the Volleyball team
The Dean Marquart Scholarship
Kirtland PTA
Kirtland Area Service Council
Donated streaming equipment to KLS
